Jesus loved the children. He often would invite them to be around Him, hold them and bless them. Jesus strongly rebuked His followers for not letting the children come to Him.
Perhaps these two things are related. The word ‘blessing’ meant empowering and bringing divine favour for safety, health, prosperity, good relationships with others and peace with God. A very powerful, life-changing touch from Heaven.
The rebuke to not prevent the children from coming to Jesus then meant not hindering that blessing to be to every child. That blessing of God would be very important for their lives….
